The education system is currently at a major turning point. Along with the desperate need to close the achievement gap, districts and schools are scrambling to implement the new Common Core standards and get their schools "tech savvy" in preparation for the new demands of the 21st century. More than ever, districts, schools, and teachers are pleading for parents to step up and become more involved with their child and the school community. At Parent Empowerment, our workshops help close the gap between schools, students, and parents. We partner with schools to increase and improve parental involvement. Having worked with parents, students, and the community in education for 10 years, we have an in-depth understanding of how to get parents more involved in their child's school. Through district, school, teacher, and parent interviews, we have discovered the most commonly requested and beneficial parent workshops and are now offering them in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties.
